My name is Dr. John D. Abbott, Jr. and I am an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. My current ministry responsibilities are at Center United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am the Pastor of Prayer and Discipleship. 2009 was a serious medical situation year for me, I was hospitalized four times and had three major surgeries. This time of illness made it impossible for me to continue as Senior Pastor of Old Bethel UMC. After months of healing and recovery I requested a part-time position at Center and it was granted. I am currently working on a book with a working title of “Whatever Happened to Sin?”
